Making your case! Join us for the Diploma in Advocacy Skills this autumn.
 |
Our Diploma in Advocacy Skills is offered to solicitors this autumn in partnership with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).
Advocacy skills and the making of applications before the courts form a fundamental part of the skill-set of solicitors engaged in all forms of litigation. NITA (America’s leading provider of legal advocacy skills training) embraces the importance of providing solicitors and trainees the opportunity to explore, develop and reflect on their skills by examining the principles and practices of advocacy. International NITA advocacy trainers and Irish lawyers and subject matter experts will use dynamic interactive teaching methods to lead participants through this valuable 5 day course which begins on the 14 November 2019.
Sessions will take place in the purpose-built, state-of-the-art Mock Courtroom in the Law Society of Ireland and are geared towards all skill levels and areas of advocacy. The unique learning-by-doing method will place participants in the courtroom, where they will be guided on key applications and motion hearings in 4 fundamental areas of practice including Family Law, Employment Law, Insolvency and Banking Enforcement.
